EasyConsole Web Content Management System is based on Microsoft and Macromedia web technologies - Windows 2000 or 2003 Server, Internet Information Services (IIS) and ColdFusion MX Server 6 or 7. The entire framework is web-based using ColdFusion MX, XML and DHTML. Data is stored using a relational database such as SQL Server 2005 or 2000 while the system can integrate with, and manage and publish data from other database servers like Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Interbase and MySQL.

EasyConsole features unlimited security groups and each group has its own power level. The group with the lowest power level has the strongest access of all. System administrator (usually the group with the lowest security level) can assign permission to every group, hence can create other groups.
Users can be allocated to one or more groups having all the privileges and permission of each one of the groups they belong to. Access can be disabled for a user or can be scheduled for expiration.
In addition, using EasyConsole IP range filtering,, you can enable the system to optionally check the user's IP address and allow or deny access accordingly.
