When content is workflow-enabled publication process is even more sophisticated and secure. For example, when a newspaper author finishes an article, the editor is alerted via email or sms that the story is waiting for review and approval. Once editing is done, the story is either sent back to the author with comments or is passed along to the legal review team and so on.
EasyConsole sophisticated Workflow Engine helps organize content from inception through deployment to eventual archiving and deletion. This ensures that high quality content is maintained throughout the site.
Out-of-the-box functionality enables administrators to create different workflow processes depending on the needs of the certain section within the enterprise. One workflow process can consist of two or more steps with different user groups or users assigned as members of each step. Workflow processes can be one-step restricting flow of content to one step below or above or parallel allowing content to be sent to one or more steps among the hierarchy.
Once a workflow process has been created, it can be applied to any section of the website (tree branch) or even to one or more table interfaces. Administrators also have the privilege to assign a different workflow process to different website sections or table interfaces or optionally allow selected content to be published without the use workflow.
On submission of content for reviewing or approval, users can optionally alert recipients by e-mail and/or SMS in order to make sure that content will be reviewed on time.
